Shefit Review: This Sports bra saved my Boobs (and my back)

Disclaimer: This athletic wear set was gifted to me as part of a paid campaign. All opinions are my own. Thank you to the brands who make this site possible!

Any girl that has a more *ahem* gifted chest knows how much of a pain it can be, literally. While it often feels like a blessing and curse, working out was something I used to dread, especially high-impact workouts (although a lot of that can also be attributed to not being in shape). Shefit changed all that.

What makes it different than other sports bras?

The first thing that makes it different is the adjustable fit. Each bra has an adjustable band and straps, so it can adjust with you if your chest size fluctuates. Additionally, as someone who often finds sports bras either too tight in the chest or too loose in the band, the adjustable band fixes that issue completely.

The front is a zip-up and I haven’t had any issues with the zipper. It has hidden hooks that keep it closed, but the zipper makes this bra much easier to get off after a particularly sweaty workout.

The Bounce Test:

The first thing I did when my Shefit bra arrived was put it on and jump around my apartment. I initially got two bras: one in the Flex style and one in the Original style.

The Flex style is touted as a medium support bra and the Original is a maximum support bra. With the Original style, the girls did not move at all. I have never felt so supported in a sports bra. That being said, the Flex style is still very supportive. I would call it a maximum support sports bra in comparison to everything I’ve tried in the past, but it’s not quite as good support-wise as the Original.

Comfort Level:

Compressive, high-support sports bras are only so comfortable for extended lengths of time. The Flex style is stretchier and moves with you a bit more, so I would say, of the two, the Flex is more comfortable. I found the sports bras are more comfortable for all day wear when the straps are a little looser, but I tighten the straps for my workouts. It’s eliminated essentially all the pain and bounce I was experiencing with my cardio workouts.

Is it worth the money?

I’m not going to lie; these bras don’t come cheap. The cost had me hesitating for a long time. But after I tried these bras – I can’t go back to anything else for my high-impact workouts.

I tend to do cardio (typically HIIT) 3-4 times per week. I now own 4 Shefit bras and found that, while owning a few more might be ideal so I don’t have to do laundry as much, I am always reaching for these for my workouts now. I have even dug them out of the dirty laundry for a high-impact workout when I knew my other bras wouldn’t cut it.

So – in my opinion – they are worth the money. I still use my other bras (styles that compress more than they support) for weightlifting days, but I can no longer go back to the days of boob-bounce during my cardio workouts. Save your boobs and save your back; you won’t go back after trying this bra.
