Dress to Drinks with the SAS Moxie

I’ve had a kick for kitten heels lately. They’ve been front-and-center in my Pinterest boards and in my head for almost every outfit I want to wear. I think I got 3 new pairs this week.

I’d been looking to replace my old black pumps for a while. They had a round toe and block-y heel, which just doesn’t look good on this particular shoe. I’d been looking for a shoe with an updated toe box, professional profile, and slim kitten heel. When I found the SAS moxie, I think I found my dream desk-to-drinks kind of shoe.

When it comes to black kitten heels, the SAS moxie is about as perfect as they come. It features a v-cut heel, which is definitely in right now, but the shoe is classic enough to outlast a trend. It also has a wider, pointed toe box. The pointed toe is more attractive than a round toe (in my opinion), but this toe box is wide enough to comfortable accomodate my wide toes. That is not common in pointed-toe heels for me. The heel itself is a slimmer kitten heel, which I prefer to the thicker heel I had on my old pair. All-in-all, this is a gorgeous, classic shoe.

For the Office:

It’s fairly obvious that this would make a good office shoe. It’s comfortable enough to walk around in (in fact, they are some of the most comfortable heels I own) and look good with just about any outfit.

Although you can literally wear these heels with anything, I love them paired with a pair of perfectly hemmed trousers or a knee length dress, like I’m wearing here. Since it’s a sleeveless dress, I opted to wear a jacket, since I like to keep my shoulders covered in the office. It also gets cold inside of those air-conditioned buildings, so a jacket isn’t bad to have either. Honestly, if I switched this dress out for a nice pair of jeans and a white blouse, I’d still have a great outfit.

For Drinks:

My favorite thing about these shoes paired with this dress is that it is insanely easy to make a quick swap before a night out. Since a lot of bars and restaurants here in Arizona are outdoors, I definitely don’t need that jacket. I swapped the jacket for a long silver necklace to break up the solid black and it pairs perfectly with the look.

Even though I kept it relatively simple with this outfit, I have so many creative ideas to incorporate this classic shoe into my wardrobe. I’ve had heaps of inspiration hit me since these babies showed up on my doorstep; I’m looking forward to pairing them with a few outfits that veer off from my basic style.

So what do you think – will the SAS Moxie make an appearance in your wardrobe soon too? For another updated style from SAS Shoes, check out my last post featuring their sandals!

Thank you SAS Shoes for the complimentary shoes.
