This red striped dress is making me think the expression “you find love when you’re not looking for it” extends beyond just relationships. Truth be told, thisĀ dressĀ was purely an accidental find. I was ordering thisĀ straw circle bagĀ and thisĀ pom pom bagĀ and I was just shy of free shipping. Naturally, I added on an extra item because who wants to pay the shipping fee?!
When my package arrived, I instantly fell in love with this red striped dress. Good thing it was only $20! I repeat, $20! Lately, I have been crushing on anything and everything with ruffles, and I absolutely adore the buttons down the front. Plus, it is just the right length and has pockets!
I knew this dress would be perfect for my upcoming trip to Florida.Ā With its lightweight cotton blend fabric and fit and flare silhouette, this dress was perfect to beat the heat. It was so easy to throw on over my swimsuit, and I even wore it one day as we biked around town. While I paired it withĀ strappy sandalsĀ and aĀ straw bagĀ (currently $16!) for the day, you can simply add a pair of wedges orĀ espadrilles and a cute clutch, likeĀ this one, to transition into the evening for dinner or drinks.
One thing that really surprised me about this red striped dress is how well it traveled. I completely forgot to pack a steamer, but I ended up not even needing one. Believe it or not, when I pulled the dress out of my suitcase, it was completely wrinkle-free. And, that’s after being crammed into my tiny carry-on bag! Needless to say, this red striped dress will certainly be coming with me to Europe later this month!
