My favorite places to shop vintage online

I love thrift shopping. Generally speaking, I like it way more than shopping for vintage clothes online. Unfortunately for me, I don’t always have the time to thrift shop. I mean, that could be hours of sifting through clothes! Now, I could definitely spend a whole day like that, but I’ve got so many things on my to-do list, I need to make the most of my time.

So, I started shopping vintage online. Some stores make it easier than others and some are a bit harder. But for those of you who love vintage pieces, these are some places you should definitely check out.

Na Nin Vintage

One of my favorite online vintage stores is Na Nin Vintage, which is a curated Instagram shop with pieces that are affordable perfectly exude classic vintage vibes. Their shop is basically the best of the best vintage and eliminates the thrift shop searching for you. However, the higher prices do reflect the time you save. Even though the prices generally fall around $35 plus shipping, it’s affordable vintage but higher prices than you’d pay in an actual store.

In the photos below, my shirt was from Na Nin. To buy from this shop, you might want to turn on your IG post notifications! A lot of their items are sold within a few minutes to an hour of initial listing.

Goodshop Badshop

My second favorite online vintage store, also on Instagram, is Goodshop Badshop. They also sell on Depop. The only reason this shop isn’t my favorite over Na Nin is that their prices are a little loftier. However, I tend to like their items the best of all the Instagram vintage stores I’ve come across.

So far, I’ve snagged this grandpa cardigan, a Polo Ralph Lauren pullover, and a pretty oversized silk top.

Swap.com

I recently stumbled upon Swap.com when I got a free $20 gift card (by the way, they send out these credits a lot)! At first, I just bought a few sweaters and a pair of vintage Calvin Klein Jeans. Recently, I picked up a gray wrap top, a corduroy jacket (the one I’m wearing below), a denim vest for summer, and another silk button down.

This corduroy jacket has recently become one of my favorites and ever since it showed up at my doorstep, I’ve been scouring the site for more cute vintage finds.

Poshmark

I’ve talked about Poshmark a lot on my website and it’s still a favorite of mine. I’ve had a thing for button down shirts recently, and this loose silk button down recently joined my closet thanks to the app. You can even search for vintage items by sorting for Vintage in the brand category now!

My poshmark closet is @kirstenortez and if you use the code BBGDX when you sign up, you’ll get a free $5 to spend in the app!

thredUP

Similar to Swap.com, thredUP sells used clothing that users send in. I picked up both this jumpsuit and this bag on the site, although they’re not quite the vintage aesthetic. They focus a bit more on designer names, but you can find a lot of their vintage items on this site!

When you sign up for thredUP using my link, you get a free $10 to spend!

Hi - my name is Kirsten! I am currently based in Chicago after a long cross-country move from Arizona. What will you find here? I love sharing all things sustainability and slow fashion, any of my day-to-day shenanigans, the latest new hobbies I picked up, and whatever concert or music festival I can find.
