Holiday and NYE Dress Inspiration

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; I can’t believe how fast this year is flying by. I can’t tell you how many ideas I had this year that I just didn’t have time for, but hopefully I’ll have a bit more time this year. I have plans in place for scheduling and getting more consistent content up, but we’ll see how much I still to those plans. In the meantime, I’ve been cranking out content like I haven’t in a long time. I just started working with a new photographer, and I love her. I hope you are all liking the new images as well!

I don’t have a lot to say today, but I did want to provide you guys with a little inspiration for the upcoming holiday parties and NYE parties that are happening and right around the corner!

A little black dress

You can honestly never go wrong with a little black dress. I wore the one pictured below to my firm’s holiday party and received so many compliments on the beaded detail. This Alice + Olivia dress was a thredUP find and I love the sheer overlay. I couldn’t believe it was under $100! It would be a great dress for different formal occassions as well.

Here are some similar little black dresses!

Glitter, Glitz, and Glamour

When people think of New Years Eve, I’m sure they think of sequined and sparkly dresses! I just got this little number from Windsor Store and it would be perfect for the occassion. I also picked out a few similar style dresses for you all!

Polished and Modest

If short and tight dresses aren’t your thing, try out a midi dress for your celebrations! I got this one from Universal Standard a few months ago and I love how it looks belted and layered over a turtleneck. It would also look cute with a cropped jacket and high-heeled sandals. These are some of my favorite midi-dresses that are great for NYE or other fancier events!

Hi - my name is Kirsten! I am currently based in Chicago after a long cross-country move from Arizona. What will you find here? I love sharing all things sustainability and slow fashion, any of my day-to-day shenanigans, the latest new hobbies I picked up, and whatever concert or music festival I can find. Welcome and thanks for popping in to my little corner of the world wide web!
