My Favorite Work Trousers

If there is one thing I love, it’s comfortable work trousers for the office. Before moving to Chicago, I was maybe in the office for a few days a month. Now, I’m in the office anywhere from two to four days each week and I wanted something that looked a bit more polished than my usual faded jeans and a bodysuit. I’ll still wear jeans to the office a few times a week, but a loose pair of trousers is perfect for both comfort and appearance.

I’ve worn a lot of my trousers casually too, but here are some of my favorite outfits I’ve rounded up over the past few weeks. Any of the outfits below are shopable if you click on the image!

My most worn pair of trousers: UO Helena Menswear Trouser Pant

I purchased these in a Large and they are one of my comfiest pairs of pants. They go with everything and are fairly comfortable with large pockets. I do sometimes they don’t sit as well on my hips as I’d like and I’d say they are probably more flattering on someone with straighter hips. However, they go with a lot and the material is comfortable so I wear them frequently.

My favorite pair for summer: Alo High-Waist Dreamscape Trouser

These trousers have one of the lightest fabrics of all that I own so I really love them when the weather gets hot. They are comfortable in summer temperatures, which is a must in midwest humidity. The one and only drawback is these babies are long. Unless you are 5’10” or taller, you’ll likely need these pants hemmed. It’s a win for the tall girlies, but a bit of a pain for those of us who are a few inches shorter. I purchased these in a medium.

My most flattering pair of trousers: Everlane Way-High® Drape Pant

Of all the pants I own, these are by far the most flattering. I don’t like the fabric as much as I’ve liked the others, but these seem to be cut nicely to skim my hips. I will say that the sizing between different Everlane Way-high styles is all over the place; I own a size 8, a size 10, and a size 12 in 3 different Way-high styles.
