Bring on the Fall Weather

This post is sponsored by Abercrombie & Fitch and Her Campus Media. All opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that make Curated by Kirsten possible!

Let me start by saying that we don’t get a ton of rain here in Arizona. Sure, we have monsoon season, generally for a few weeks each year, but it’s not that often that we get a full day of heavy rain. And, in true blogger fashion, the rain only decides to show up on days where I plan photoshoots… Go figure.

However, I was prepared for the rain this time. This Nylon Anorak from Abercrombie has come in handy several times since I bought it with our unpredictable weather here. It’s lightweight enough to wear during our chilly mornings and lined with a soft jersey for comfort. When the rain shows up, the little hood (zipped up in the collar) comes out to play.

Just a few weeks ago, I styled this jacket with a pair of high rise boyfriend-style jeans, a lace cami, and some cute booties. Who tuned in for that post? Did you guess any of the items I was going to style this jacket with next?

Now that the temperatures have dropped a little more, I opted for a pair of faux suede over-the-knee boots, a pretty pointelle sweater, and – of course – high rise jeans. If you’re heading out on a date during monsoon season, this jacket also looks adorable paired with a simple little black dress and a cute pair of booties.

I already told you all how much I love this jacket, but this sweater has also been one of my fall favorites. It looks cute paired with denim skirts and booties, over a dress, or with a pair of flowy patterned pants. The details on the sweater are cute and pretty without being over the top. It’s a pretty good weight, not too light or heavy, and the fabric feels good against the skin. Plus, it looks perfect with a burgundy jacket thrown over the top! Unfortunately, this jacket sold out (it clearly was a favorite of others too), but Abercrombie has a ton of other cute options here.

Stay tuned for the next episode of “Kirsten Bravely Shoots in the Rain” soon! Strange weekend weather is staying in the forecast for a few weeks to come.
