4th of July Outfits You Can Wear Long Past the Holiday

I love the 4th of July. It’s such a fun holiday filled with family, friends, sunshine, barbeques, and poolside fun.

Unfortunately, I have to work on Monday, but at least I get the rest of the week off! That’s definitely a benefit of working in public accounting; our busy seasons may be rough, but we do get some nice holiday and vacation perks.

Denim Shorts + a Graphic Tee

These shorts have been in my closet a long time but, recently, they’ve gotten a lot more use. They’re the perfect mid-high rise short with a looser fit and rolled hem. I’m not sure if you can find this exact pair, but I’ve linked a few similar pieces.

I paired the denim shorts with a graphic tee, western-style belt, and my new favorite red sandals.

Red is one of my favorite colors, so I never have a hard time matching these red pieces into my wardrobe later on. Since I wear so much black and white, it actually adds a nice pop to my summer outfits.

The tee is a vintage-style Rolling Stones tee, which we all know is good to go year-round. The red, white, and blue graphic just makes it great to wear on this summer holiday as well!

A Star Print Top

I’ve talked about my obsessions with Realisation Par dresses several times on this blog and the obsession continues into their tops as well. Although I can’t wear a bra with this silk star-printed top, it does look cute layered over an itsy-bitsy bikini if you’ll be hanging out by the pool.

I paired the top with the same shorts as above, an old pair of black Dolce Vita sandals, and my new Gucci purse. The ivory leather matches the stars on the top perfectly.

A Red Sun Dress + Bright White Kicks

Last but not least, the dress that could launch a thousand country songs. Seriously, I think this was the dress that Kip Moore was singing about in his song “Something ‘Bout a Truck.”

I do have to size up in Reformation dresses, but this one fits me like a dream. I’m wearing a size 10, but it fits my bust perfectly with or without a bra. I’ve worn this dress out to the bars in the Arizona summer, on a few dates, and now, it works perfectly for the 4th too!

I know – it seems a bit hot for a jacket, but if you’re somewhere that cools down at night, this would be perfect! (Also, if your shoulders sunburn, well, this might do the trick too.)

So what do you think – which outfit is your favorite? For all of my American peeps, what will you be rocking on the 4th of July this year?
